A Little Bit about our Firm

Elion is an Intellectual Property firm established in 2022. We help innovative companies protect, manage, and grow their IP in Spain, Europe and internationally, combining legal rigor with clear, business-focused advice.

We advise on patents, trademarks, designs, and trade secrets. When contentious matters arise, we coordinate with trusted litigation counsel while remaining closely involved on the IP strategy and technical side.

What We Do

We support companies and firms across the full IP lifecycle, including:

Patents: Filing strategy, patent application drafting and prosecution, and portfolio development aligned with product, process, market and licensing plans.
Trademarks: Clearance guidance, filing strategy, prosecution, and brand portfolio management.

Trade secrets: Identification of protectable know-how, practical protection programs, and internal policies to reduce leakage risk.

In addition to advising in the creation, prosecution and maintenance of IP assets, we also advise on full IP strategy, analysis of and defense against IP assets of competitors.

Why 'Elion'

Our name pays homage to Gertrude B. Elion (1918–1999), a pioneering biochemist, pharmacologist, and inventor whose work helped shape modern drug discovery.

We chose ‘Elion’ as a reminder of the creativity, discipline, and persistence behind meaningful innovation, and the importance of protecting it.
